Sunwoofer sounds better with it turned OFF @ the headunit

Greetings from a Newb,

I was recently trying to tune my amp to my other speakers and noticed that when I would turn it OFF at the head unit, it actuall sounded better that with it on. It makes me wonder if the wiring is

somehow crossed. Wouldn't turning it off at the headunit make it cease from being heard at all? I

bought the car with the equipment already isntalled. Thanks in advance.

It sounds like the RCA's are connected to the front or rear amp out instead of the SW out. It looks like you have 3 preamp outs the installer cabled it wrong?

Something is definitely screwy with this thing. I could have sworn that it only has one set of RCA jacks in the back? This is my first car with a subwoofer.

I did a quick google search of your HU / rca and saw a few pictures with 3 RCA outs. I could be very wrong.

I appreciate your help. Im gonna have to pull the HU and check the connections as much as I hate to. Let you know what I find out. Thank you
