SUNDOWN1500v2 VS. JBL GTO 1200.1

which one would be louder for my ECLIPSE 88150TI @ 2ohms the jbl is 1200@2 and the sundown is rated @ 800@2 but i think the sundown is underrated? which amp would be better??? i already have the jbl gto amp. but i could get my hands on a 1500v2

Those JBL amps are actually pretty nice for the price. The sundown costs a bit to much to only run it at 2 ohm if you ask me.

i got my jbl on craiglist for 100 bucks and the sundown 1500v2 i could get it for 225 bnib im leaning towards the sundown cause it has a subsonic filter but i dunno which would be louder

"louder" is subjective anyway. I can tell you that the JBL will be more then enough for your sub though. Hard to pass it up for $100.

I don't think a little bit of power difference will help. Unless there is another reason to change, I'd save your money.

The enclosure and other things will make more of an affect on the over all sound and "loudness" then which of these two amps he would run.

and for the money, ide go with the JBL. Its a good amp, and like rabbit said. If ure only going to run it at 2ohms no point in getting the sundown. Unless ure planning to upgrade subs soon and wanting to go to 1ohm. Ude prob wanna do the big 3 though if u havnt

if i pick up the sundown im gonna sell my jbl of course for more than what i got it for mabey 200 so then i would be getting the sundown for 25$ and my box is 3.3 tuned to 30 but i guess ill just stick with the jbl
