Sundown zv4's with budget amps! lol

Are you running yours at 2ohms?
And after the phone call to them, the 1500's are not 0.5 ohm stable.. They said they upgraded some parts in the fx3000 to make it stable at 1ohm
When I had one in there, I ran it at .5 ohm //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif It would get crazy hot but still worked fine. That was before I knew they were two boards. lol

Then when I added the second one, they were both 1 ohm each because they're not strappable.

lol
I actually have a sundown ns-1 in there and voltage is better on that than those sonido amps. Those sonido amps were just put in there for the fun of it to see what they can do. Though they're not very efficient as you can see with the voltage drop.

After getting my shipment of amps in you are absolutely correct that the FX-3000 draws a ton of current.

I tested it and it puts out a clean 2500 RMS and hit a 150.1 dB's dropping to 10.2 volts Then I tossed in the ZX-2000 and it did a clean 1900 RMS and hit a 149.7 dB's only dropping to 11.5 volts. Then I tossed in my RD Audio 3250v2 and it did 3050 RMS clean and hit 150.8 dB's dropping to 11.5 volts.. Next is to test the FX-1500 and if it does OK then we will still carry some FX line but definitely not the 3000 as the ZX is not that much more money and is twice the amp in my opinion

I also put in my Stetsom 7k2d 18v edition just for fun and it put out 6500 RMS clean and dropped to 10.1 volts and hit 152.9dbs

Yeah, they're not very efficient. They drew a lot of current in my car. Those ZX seems pretty decent. And wow, that rd amp seems pretty efficient. If you don't mind me asking, which subs were used and what ohm load?

Atomic 15's with 818 motors dual 2 ohm wired to 0.5 ohm, with box rise its 1.18 ohms

that is correct, but i look at the output after i get rise, i would like to get a bank of 1ohm 2ohm and 4 ohm resistors that can handle 10,000 watts so i dont have to rely on box rise although i know that it almost always goes to 0.9 to 1.2 ohms after rise on a single board amp depending on power, more power = less rise in my case anyways... and if i strap two amps together i get more box rise then running them separate at the same time, which makes sense since its would have to create a complete circuit between two boards and add more resistance.

So that means you were running .25 ohm on the fx-3000 and all the other amps at .5 ohm before impedance rise. No wonder why it had a really bad drop. lol
I just tested the Sonido Mask FX-1500.1!! wow 2 of those little things would do way better than the FX-3000 which is just two of them strapped!!!, we will most definitely be retailing those AND the ZX series!!!

so i did the test as i normally do with a starting impedance of 0.5 ohm (box rise to 1.2) I set the oscope to soft clip and the termlab running on the dash car sealed legit Db Drags style and let it burp!

heres my clamped numbers...

43.5 Volts AC

35.8 Amps AC

1557 watts RMS

starting load 0.5 ohm

box rise to 1.2 ohms

starting DC voltage 14.61

dropping DC voltage 12.88

SPL 148 db's on the dash

for $270.00 retail with warranty you cant lose.. at least not in Canada!! maybe you guys can get better deals without having to ship across the border?

I'm uploading the video right now on youtube!

Beast for sure;Any numbers with the ns1?
Nope, not yet.

That's pretty impressive for that little guy. Did over rated at 1.2 ohms; not bad at all. Only draw back is the efficiency but other than that, they're nice amps. That's also a good score off 1500 watts. I'm sure we do. lol

JUST AN UPDATE

Here's a video of the ZX-1500 on the SMD amp dyno
