Sundown x12 box questions

I'm redoing the roof on my rzr and want more thump. Currently running 2 cheap kicker km 10s on 450 ish watts. The new plan is for an x10 or x12 on a rf prime 1200 watt amp. I have about 2.7 cf to work with not accounting for the sub. Would the 10 or 12 be better with this much room. Also the ports will be external so no airspace loss for them. Will 4-3in pvc ports be enough port area for the 12? I know they recommend 40in?

10" cause of the box size or port size? I know they call for around 1.5cf at 32htz on the 10 should that be what I'm shooting for or will it perform better in a different setup?

I don't have to much experience with X but I do with zv4 and nsv3 which is the X big brothers. They like large enclosures if you like lowwws. 3cubes + for a 12" so I would do a 10" in about 2-2.25cubes

2.7 before sub displacement is not a lot of room. Hope thats the space you have after wood thickness or else it'd be horribly small.

Yes 2.7 is what I have after accounting for the wood but not the sub, and like I said the ports will be external so I don't need to account for them either. Lows is what I'm after the two 10s I have now will only play mid bass I hate it. I have a pair of sa 8s in my truck that hit some nasty deep bass. On tuning should I go 32 or 35, if I put the numbers in the sub box program on my computer right it looks like I'll get a lot more output at 35 then at 32 and not sacrifice much on the lows.

I need output for it to sound right. Also will be running 8-2way 6.5s on a ppi 900x4, 4-2way 8s same amp and 4-2way 4s on a clarion 22 watt rms headunit.
