God Bless You
Ive narrowed it down to two amps. Im going to get in the next week or so. Its to power a DC lvl 4xl with double tinsels and extra spiders so it can handle more power. the two options are a saz-1500.1 or aq 2200.1

both are the same price but the aq is coming straight from aq, the saz is from a member on here. which is better. thanks

This thread has been down over and over. To cut it down simply because its obvious you cant search. The Sundown is a better quality amp is way under rated. The AQ is a solid amp that does rated. It would come down to preference. The AQ will give you more power compared to the SAZ.

the AQ will prolly put out a tad bit more power...why not a sundown 2000D vs AQ2200?
price difference

i no that the sundown is better quality. i just want to no if quality is better than more power.

my xl is taking my gp3000 no problem...
is that 3000 rms

Its 1500rms unless you have a great electrical...I cant stand when ppl say dumb sh!t like a SAZ 1500 is 2000rms...Just stupid:rolleyes:

1 amp, single 1000ca everstart maxx, 1 Eagle Picher 12a5000, factory alt

4 ohm nominal = 520 watts @ 88% efficiency (voltage fell from 14.3v, to 14.1v)

2 ohm nominal = 960 watts @ 84% efficiency (voltage fell from 14.3v, to 13.7v)

1 ohm nominal = 1635 watts @ 75% efficiency (voltage fell from 14.3v, to 12.8 volts

.5 ohm nominal = 1890 watts @ 71% efficiency (voltage fell from 14.3v, to 12.8v)

.35 ohm nominal = 2245 watts @ 65% efficiency (voltage fell from 14.3v, to 12.8v)

A lot of people have a factory alt and a big batt in the back...I ran one with a HC2000 up front and a Batcap 2000 in the back...very similar to this test, and very similar to a lot of people's setups. You also have to understand that the stock alt in the test is a puny little thing in the Chevy Aveo. For people like myself and many others who drive SUV's and trucks that have a 120-160amp stock alt, this test should actually be a little under what we'd get with a big batt in the back.

With stock electrical:4 ohm nominal = 518 watts @ 88% efficiency (voltage fell from 14.3v, to 14.0v)

2 ohm nominal = 948 watts @ 85% efficiency (voltage fell from 14.3v, to 13.6v)

1 ohm nominal = 1510 watts @ 78% efficiency (voltage fell from 14.3v, to 12.4 volts

.5 ohm nominal = 1615 watts @ 72% efficiency (voltage fell from 14.3v, to 11.8v)

.35 ohm nominal = 1748 watts @ 67% efficiency (voltage fell from 14.3v, to 11.4v)

With added batteries

4 ohm nominal = 520 watts @ 88% efficiency (voltage fell from 14.3v, to 14.1v)

2 ohm nominal = 960 watts @ 84% efficiency (voltage fell from 14.3v, to 13.7v)

1 ohm nominal = 1635 watts @ 75% efficiency (voltage fell from 14.3v, to 12.8 volts

.5 ohm nominal = 1890 watts @ 71% efficiency (voltage fell from 14.3v, to 12.8v)

.35 ohm nominal = 2245 watts @ 65% efficiency (voltage fell from 14.3v, to 12.8v)
Yes, the saz1500 will do 2000w rms, if your subs are wired down to .35 ohm and you have a 300a alt and several batteries. Otherwise, if you try to send that much power its going to send the amp into protect.
