Has anyone actually seen this little sub outside of sundown's Facebook page?

Down4sound has is listed and supposedly 70 in stock but there is zero info online that I've found.

Is it actually available or still in prototyping stage like the salt 3000.5

@sundownz

I had the same problem trying to locate a Sundown SIA5000. It's in the SIA owner's manual but not available to the public. Are you just looking for the specs of the sub?

You really can't trust the specs from companies these days anyway. Buy them and build a ported box tuned between 33 hz. and 35 hz. and I bet they will sound great. Just my opinion.

Well I would build my way anyway and adjust the box. Probably 2cubes at 36hz since from what I've found .5cubes works well with most 6.5s. any bigger and it needs to be oversized like the 1506 which still works in .5 just fine but can handle up to .75 because it's closer to a 7inch driver.

This u series could potentially be the same way using a larger piston than other 6.5s idk I have zero specs to go off of.

Still would be nice to model the subs prior to building the box.

Other than the d4s site I don't even have proof that it's available at all.

The 6.5 im playing with likes .4 tuned to 36 HZ. That sundown is a little bigger than the one I have, so .5 tuned to 36 HZ sounds about right. 4 of these would be a head turner for sure. I just gave away a used box for 4 6.5s that I acquired through a trade.

Which 6.5’s you playing with?
RDS Audio 6.5. He is making me a 1000 watt 8 with 23 mm of xmax also. Should be done next week. I built a box in trade for some cash and a box with 4 blown subs. 1 of them was just a little tear from pushing too hard, so I just fixed the surround and used it. The 3 blown ones I traded in for 60$ credit towards a new sub.

You stated you have an SIA 3500 right now. I would run it for now with the supply for the demand, until you decide you want more power and have...
