Sundown SAZ 3000D Question!

i know but if i did i would do everything necessary for the electrical upgrade to pump im just concerned about buying one and running it at .6 ohms ...? will it last?

I run mine on a pair of memphis mojo 12s which are dual 2, so wired to .5.. Sundown amplifiers are overbuilt in every way.. I have the older heatsink and it never gets more than slightly warm which i assume is due to the florida heat.

You could, but then you would have the same thing that everyone else that walks out out HIFI BUYS has, more JL, or you dance to the beat of a different drum. but as stated, it is your call.

And the amp will handle it.

have you metered your subs to see what they actually are sitting at?

I ran my SAZ 1500D's at 0.5 daily for a good 6 months with 0 problems... Never got even warm to the touch, and they gave my Soundstream SPLX-12" and a MTX 9500 12" complete hell..

I've got the 3000D's now and I ran them at 0.5ohm a piece daily on 1 Memphis Madd Maxx 15" Quad 1 ohm coils, and for the 2 weeks I did it, it ran awesome. No warmth, no nothing. Performed flawlessly...

Like someone mentioned...no warranty under 1 ohm, but they will do it all day long... as long as you be true and dont go AWOL with your gains and bass boost settings..

They are over-built in every way....and the hew heatseak designs are a very nice mod in my opinion by Jacob...I love my Sundowns...so much I'm going to 18" Sundown Audio Nightshades...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Maybe im missing something but how does quad 1 ohm wire to .5ohm?

And OP Isnt your final load .67? After imp rise it will be near or at 1 ohm anyways.

like he said....if you wire it down to .67 your imp rise will be roughly 1-1.5 ohms depending on ur box theres no way to give u exact without you clamping your amp
