You realize Wolfram isn't around to honor that warranty when you smoke those subs, right?

Sundown is Sundown. They use about the most reliable designs/parts you can get from those Korean class D cookie cutter buildhouses and have the deep pockets and clout to make good on warranty and keep up with customer service. Crescendo has had some rocky roads in the past by way of customer service and one of their big amps definitely had issues from the factory. I expect you understand that's a lot of where your money is going, that and Sundown is a real company with a couple dozen employees (or more these days?) an enormous facility, and needs to bake in enough price for retailers to take a vig. So that's kind of where your extra cost is going.

That all said, why aren't you looking at the SFB amps? If you're not trying to play the quarter ohm game (and why would you in this day and age?) I can't think of many good reasons to not look into full bridge options once you get up into 2000W+ amps.

Actually the PT series were built by Adire and Adire has said they will warranty them if wolfram won't

That is good news for some who have Wolfram subwoofers. Where did you get that info Mattin?

Also I would go Sundown over Crescendo all day long as hispls said. Salt amplifiers are about as rock solid as they get and Sundown will back them up all day long even people who have caused the amplifier to blow up because of their own stupid mistakes. Sundown is getting bigger by the day along with Apex Audio being attached or right next to them now (formally car audio bargain but now new owners) also doing refurbished subwoofers along with selling Sundown products like no other. They also tend to have "B" Stock Amplifiers as well that only have a 1 year warranty BUT if your cards are like mine anything I buy adds an additional 2 year warranty for free or buy it through another online warranty place.
