Hey guys I was wondering if this amp can be run with 2 subs which are dual 2ohm voice coil and still put out 1000 watts?

I had my 2 kicker cvr10-2 subs which are both dual 2ohm voice coils, hoooked up to an alpine mrd-m605 running at 2ohms and putting out 600watts. Now I was gonna buy the alpine mrd-m1005 since it woulda been plug and play basically.

The guy who i bought from now says he doesnt have it in stock and refunded my money so now i got no amp! Ive been lookin at the pdx1000.1, but alot of ppl are tellin me to get the sundown.

So my questions are: Is there anyway I can get it to run at 1000watts with my current sub setup? and, how much are these amps selling for right now??

You would only be able to get 1/2 ohm or 2 ohms - so it will not work for your to get 1000 watts to your pair of speakers.

You can get them for about $275-300 on here. and no you can't run them at 1 ohm you can run them at 2 ohm or .5 ohm, not sure if that amp is .5 ohm stable.

it's a kicker, I believe they're 2 ohm stable.

I saw an mtx 1501 on here, might still be available, 1500x1@2. I love mine. Quite reasonable. I think he wanted like 2 and some change.

Nah I dont want a used amp, brand new only. This sucks, i was set on the alpine mrd-m1005 and it was only 300bux. Now I might end up spending alot more on the pdx, I dont really like the look of that kicker amp.

Anyone know of a place that still might carry the 1005?

Alpines pdx's are pretty. the zx is a good amp, just not purdy.
