What's your reasoning for going with the spl cone on the zv4? Does it really have that much of a difference or are you just chasing tenths on the meter?

as far as the sound, it makes a difference. It gives the sub a more "traditional" subwoofer sound and not the ultra linear sound that the mega roll offers.

I bought a sundown sa 12 on Amazon in October 2014. I just got my second sa 12 last week but from an audio shop. I was comparing them and i noticed the new one was a little different. The magnet was round at the top, the other one was not. I did some research online and it turns out i think i have the sa ultra. Every thing else is identical. I have them in a dual box and they sound great. Is it ok to have slightly different subs in the same box or am i going to have to cut my losses and sell one of my subs and get identical subs? If so which sub is better the normal sa or ultra?... i couldn't find much info on the ultra. All help is appreciated. Thanks

I'd think neither would be ultras as they were never sold. He kept all the ultras that he received because some had bad soft parts, and the are all currently for sale in sundowns yardsale.
