I have a friend that has an SA10 dual 4ohm. I see they recommend .5 to .75 cu.ft ported and 750 watts RMS. I only have 400 watts on tap. How would it work in 1.4 cubic feet ported?

I'd say it's ok. Not underpowering severely but it'll get some bump.

Usually the bigger the box the more efficient the sub gets and less power is needed. Small sealed usually needs more power on tap
