sundown sa 8 v2 vs sa 8 spl

I am currently running four sa 8s. Works great and doing fairly well in competition. But I was wondering about using the SPL versions of the sa 8. My only problem is enclosure. I'm stuck with what I have since a bunch of custom work went into it. Will the SPL woofers work in the same enclosure? Sundown says they have no specs on the SPL woofer.

The only difference I've found is that the SPL version has a lighter voice coil and conein order to reduce resistance. Do y'all think it would require the same airspace than if in theory the woofer is the same?

The current "stock" SPL drivers do only have a lighter coil (CCAW) with stock 2 spiders. I have revised them to ALSO have a double layer top spider for additional stiffness (total of 3 spiders) -- those are due in ~30-45 days or so.

We also build them with a special Dual-1 8-layer flat burp coil (not commonly ordered but this is what the little Red CRX that is doing 150s is using) and anywhere from 4-6 spiders also available with CCAW coils.

Thanks man, I really appreciate the info. I just ordered four of the SPL woofers through my dealer. He said they should ship by the end of this week. Can't wait to compete with them! I also ordered a saz 3500.
