I was wondering i have sundown sa 12 with alpine mrp-500 i dont think my sub is getting the lower hits from the bass it seems like my hz sound be lower idk the normal break in time for this sub but idk if its fully broke in and is why im not getting lower hz. need help

Get a bigger amp the sa-12's are rated for 600watts rms but will take over twice that, Probably clipping.

hes running 2200rms (aq2200) on a pair of sa12s.....ill be running 1000rms/2000watt.... get a bigger amp

just remember dont clip the signal

What are the box volume and tuning specs ? I would look into the enclosure before changing any other equipment.

I have a local running that exact amp and sub combo with proper box you would be really happy as he is. Drops plenty low when tuned accordingly.
