SUNDOWN problems

I hook my new 100.2 up tonght. When I turn my HU on, the amp lights up in protection for about 3 seconds then goes out. I took all the speaker connections off to try to reset it, and it still does it even without rca's and speaker wire. WTF?

check....

amp ground/power

hu ground /power/remote signal

connections to battery.

scratch any paint off any ground connections

That gets my vote. Make sure you sand it down so there is NO paint on there.

looks to me like what your experiencing is normal,

on my 1500ds the protect light comes on for a few secs then the blue led light comes on and it plays

sounds like a bad ground/low voltage problem. check all your connections, and your fuses (if you are using AGU's, check the fuse thouroughly, take it out of the fuse holder... a blown fuse can still appear to be intact)

that is the exact behavior i had out of mine with low supply voltage. a new fuse solved the problem right away.

I fixed that problem. The new problem is that when i turn it on low volumes, is pops, the speakers do. And when u have it on low volumes it makes this awful screaching/humming noise.

had the same thing, its a ground issue... clean the area off and so on

I had the same problem. I grounded my RCAs to the HU and that took care of the problem. Just wrap wire around the RCA plugs and screw the other end into the HU...should take care of your problem
