Sundown Ev2 12s or Sundown SA 12s

I have 2 Sundown Ev2 12s now on 1000-1100 watts but one of the subs have coil damage and rubs faintly. Would it be worth the money to buy SA 12s and wire them to a lower impedence and push around 2000 watts or should I replace the bad sub? If i spent the money for the SAs would the difference be big enough to be worth it? Box is tuned to 29hz but the Es only play down to 27hz before it drops off, so would the SAs get lower and still have the upper end spl?
