Hey guys,

i'm looking to get a pair of small subs for my s2000. I got rid of my old kicker setup and wanna go a different route. I'm making two sealed boxes that fit on the sides of the trunk so this way i lose very little space in the trunk.

I've narrowed it down to either Sundown E8s or JL 8w3v3s

Any insight guys?

If it's sealed, the JL's. E8's have an F3 of around 50 hz in a sealed box unfortunately... I think so anyways.

Through personal experience, I have found that e8's are not the best sealed sub choice. I went with Image Dynamics id8's, and am very happy. Look into them before the jl audio

i got about 500w from a kicker amp

so no good for sealed setup?? that seems like the general consensus

any suggestions on a tuning for the e8's and enclosure specs?

i thought they were decent sealed. i have one on the way and im looking at doing a center console install but i wanna do it as a dedicated midbass from about 50-200hz
