I'm interested in the Sundown SAZ-1500D. It seems like a very nice amp with great build quality.....not sure how it compares to my Arc's or Zapco's in quality.

build quality is excellent... when it plays @ .5 ohms @ 18v i think it shows somethign

If you're going after SQ, then it's probably not going to be worth it to switch...unless your substage is already starved for power.

That's what I was thinking. If he needs more power, then sure... go for it. But if you're matching power with your current ARC or Zapco amp...

The sundown is a beast, well built and puts out clean power. The SAZ is the high line, there will be a mid level line out in the coming months.

 

Sundown dealers will be running a sale on all Sundown amplifers here shortly, so if you want to save a few $ then hold out for the sale.

Also Jacob, the owner of Sundown Audio, is a great guy. They have a forum over at SoundSolutionsAudio.com and he responds to questions quickly.

I am going to be purchasing four Sundown SAZ-1500Ds sometime this month to power my next setup.

Using a 1500D to power 2 15" RL-P's. I've done 15+ minute demos at INSANE volume levels and it doesn't even get warm, seriously.

VERY well built and puts out tremendous power. Plan on upgrading your electrical to provide proper current to this beast.

I plan to buy another one when I build a bigger system in the next vehicle.
