Sundown Audio SLD-10 D2 vs DD AUDIO SL610-D2

I'm currently running 2 of the sundowns sld-10's in a jl audio 2005 Tacoma prefab box. One of the sundowns fried so I'm hoping to upgrade. I'm looking at the dd sl610's. I'll be running them at 1200rms @ 1ohm load. Would the dd's be a upgrade? The sundowns were better then the jl's that came in the prefab Tacoma box as it is.

I highly doubt you would notice any difference just sub swapping.

That’s why I’m asking, the change from the JL’s to the sundowns was night and day. So I’m hoping there’s a better choice with the lack of space

I highly doubt the dd audio outperform the sundown's. Especially considering you will likely lose lower end bass due to the dd audios stiffer suspension.

Only 2 other shallow subs I'd recommend is the JL tw5 and alpine r2 shallows. Sundown also has a sd5 coming out fairly soon which has more excursion
