Sundown 3kw vs Memphis 4kw

I think the Sundowns look better personally and they are lesser known. Are the Memphis's strappable???

i made the comparison cuz i know some people that have gained from going from 4kws to 3kws. and i know people that have lost.

It's going to be pretty close...

Sean (Ibanender) gained going from two Memphis 4k amps to four 1500Ds - he also tested the 3000s to produce the following:

67.4 volts

77.1 amps

5196 watts

Power supply voltage was 16.5 volts at rest dropping to around 14.5 volts

He got around ~400 more watts from a strapped pair of 1500Ds in the same setup (higher beginning voltage of 17.9 dropping to 15.5 volts).

In any event - fairly close comparison. It will depend on the setup.

I think the sundown would also be more efficient. Those 4k's are massive current hogs from what I've read from people who have used them.

yah if u dont have the electrical to back it up.............. my van burped a 157 with 3 3000ds at 1 ohm each. and it burped a 155.5 with 1 memphis 4kw at .33 ohm. both at 39hz.

ill definetly be supporting sundown this season in bassrace and extreme 3+ since my van has 3 layers of deadener in some spots of the roof. need to get someone to loan me 3 4kw's to burp the van with to get a good comparison.
