Sundown 3500 or IA 40.1

SPL i gotta say you are a IA *****.... lol.... the way i see it tho......

40.1 is a beast... we all know... its inefficient, its an older amp now with older technology.

but for the most part there isnt much differnece between amps now a days.... companies build them to their competitors and customers needs.

Zenon boards... heatsinks are different... yayayaya...

at this point if one amp had an advantage over another one, the differnece would probably be so small it wouldnt even be worth mentioning...

What everyone should be looking at and comparing is those Sounddigital and stetsom amps... i dunno how the hell they make them so small... i cant trust them yet.

No im just being legit. The 40.1 is proven. And rated higher, and we both know its underated. I have two sundown amps and love them, they are underated as well. However, im not a company nuthugger like derrick and bose. I fail to see the point. Jacob doesn't need to advertise because every thread that is sundown vs whatever, its always id go with sundown. ALWAYS!!! I dont do that so that makes me a IA Nuthugger? no, i just beleive it will do more power. It wont be as efficient however, but out of the two id choose the 40.1.

BTW, im selling my IA 20.1 and am going to buy an AQ 3500D or 2 2200d's.

What you say about new technology is true, most high end amps consist of the same boards, etc. Many of the components however are different from amp to amp even on the same boards. The efficiency on newer amps is pretty similar as well.

Ok dude, i gave them plenty of credit. I said they are great amps, more efficient, Solid at .5 ohm as well. They also do over rated, when did i ever say they werent a well built amp. I said out of the two the 40.1 is my choice.

I love my Sundown amps, they are efficient, put out power and run really cool for daily driving. Plus, I get them at a good price and the customer service is great. But jeez, it's not worth arguing over. Some of you guys will fight to the death for a car audio company, just RELAX.

I have not seen any numbers from the 3500.... I have only seen a few people here post pics of theirs....but no testing numbers.

Soooo how can people who HAVE NEVER SEEN one say they would take the 3500....... that makes no sense, what does make sense is the nuthuggin posts. Cause its not experience or side by side numbers of the amps that are being compared.

Oh, like you talking about the 40.1?

Also, so now you can't take someone's word anymore. You have to go out and use every product on teh market to make a choice? I don't know about you but I can't afford to do that, but if you can that's great.

Overbuilt...... I need sundownz to come in here and answer this one. I talked personally with a rep ordering amps from zenon... and the sundown 3000D is not overbuilt or upgraded. It is a off the shelf 3000 watt zenon amp.

If this is true, then they are not overbuilt... but I have actually wanted this to be answered cause I was kind of skeptical.

ill solve this problem....just go with an rd d9.

40.1 does more power then a saz3000.

both strong amps. both can wire low. both are old *** amps. boards have been around for quite a while. so really lets talk amps not company names on the amps.
