Sundown 1500 or AQ2200...

Assuming they are the same price or close, would you rather go with the Sundown or the AQ? I know the AQ has more power on paper and I've looked at the clamped numbers but which would you choose and why?

I'm going to be running it at .5 and even though I'm not a nuthugger, somehow I've ended up with a Sundown woofer and a SAX-100.4 on my mids and highs. I'm leaning towards the SA 1500 so everything will match but that's not the determining factor. I know SA has great customer service and both are reliable pieces of equipment. So throw up your opinions.

Also, don't try to sell me anything right now. I am waiting on some $ before I purchase anything.

Nah but for real, both amps are nice, and both will give me the power I need, so is there anything that should sway me one way or the other?

get the sundown so you will feel more comfortable about being a nuthugger..lol. They are both good amps and dang near bulletproof.

The aq has more power but the sundown would probably sell quicker when you wanted to. If I had to choose I would go aq.

Ive had probably 6 or 7 of the 2200s and never had a single problem with any of them.

I wouldnt mind trying a sundown but if i had to choose id take another 2200.

I've owned a few of each. If you need around 1700watts get the sundown, if you need 2200 get the AQ. Both are solid amps, but like the looks of the AQ better...

I only need 1500-2k so either would work. I know both are solid amps and the reason I narrowed it down to these two is the fact that they are **** near indestructible so i might just flip the coin lol.

If I go with the SA should I pick up a v1 for $330 with a warranty or look for a v2?

I have an aq like it so far. Went with it because of price, the sundown is 100$ more .
