my original suggestion was to match the power he has currently. If hes adding that much power we all know its gonna take a much larger sub to take the power... thats why i qualified it by saying "depending on power"

SSD is much different than the sx. i dont know what it is about sxs but everyone ive used/seen used has sucked for spl.
I gained 1.3 db going from SX to the mag. Tommyk's old SE was louder than his SX....

all that is different between teh sx & se are teh se's softparts are weaker? (4 layer coil, instead of 8 & some other stuff)

it doesn't add up, IMO.

so a sub that has a lower mms, and options to be built to fit your needs isnt better of a generic sub that is known to have issues with spl?

I think the ssd's would work better on the power he has now, thats all

Yehh theres usually people there but it was a Sat and no one around.

Your prolly right, the SSD is better for my power now but i have 2 bigger amps coming in next week soo than id be stuck with those....i think the SXs do fine, 156 aint to shabby for 4 10s and 2 amps.

But i got a comp next Sat hopefully with my one bigger amp i can crack a 50...but who knows with the mic...its always to hard to judge

I'll admit it tho...I'm underpowering my subs, just under 150 watts per driver but they get frickin loud tho, even at low volume. Making a decision to get 4 10's was the best thing....besides, I always wanted multiple subs.
