Sundown 1000D weak bass??

IT>EE imo lol

Prolly cuz I am IT.

EE to me is alot of commen sense and equations.

I can do alot of electronics with out really ever going to school for it. On the other hand you come and correct network 100's of computers together without any flaws and then we can talk.
You can 'do a lot of electronics'??? LOL go to school for Electrical Engineering and see how easy it is... trust me it isn't just 'doing electronics'. wow that is one of the most ignorant statements i've heard.

I am going to school for EEngr with a minor in Computer Science (the CS part might change to Comp Engr), and i've been building computers, diagnosing hardware/software problems, and setting up networks for about 7 years now. Don't tell me setting up a network is harder than robotics or MANUFACTURING a microchip or manufacturing the components of a speaker (or amp for that matter) or installing a massive audio system in a coliseum or....

Not bashing IT either, it's a great field (I love computers), but when you say EENgr is stupid or easy... yeah that is ignorant.

Oh and IMO EE>IT, almost 60k starting salary average around here, and that is WITHOUT any other minors/majors, concentrations, special skills, experience in the field, or specialty-type EE jobs, which will obviously get you more $$.

What is it going to be out of phase with? Itself? The frontstage?
Neither of which will effect loudness. You only get horrible output from 2 subs being out of phase.
or 2 coils on the same sub.

Same thing that always happens on this forum. A couple of people come on waiving their e-penis around. Basically give it a couple more pages of them argueing, they will rub penii together, get really turned on and realize they are straight out fegs and then let the thread continue.

Hard to tell //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

But, I do suggest wiring it to 1 ohm for best results and adjusting it down from there. 1 ohm stable amps are much better at upping current than voltage - so a 4 ohm load with a hefty impedance rise isn't their forte. Running AT 4 ohms the 1000D will produce 300-watts but will not fare as well on a reactive 4 ohm load as the actual impedance can easily be 2-3 times that.

Hope that helps!

SOunds good to me!? I will pull the sub and rewire it and then give you an update! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I will only mention this because I had a similar issue. I have my 1000d coming off the 100.2 and I ran the RCAs from the 100.2 into the 1000d. At first, I had both L+R going into the 1000d and sound was halved. I eventually took one (either) out and sound increased.

It may not be that simple, but figured I'd mention it since it got me.
