Suitable kicker amps

I'm new here and I'm looking to reconfigure my setup. I'm currently using 2 kicker L5's and running them with a Hifonics BX1605D. It's nice amp but I think I want to upgrade and I was thinking JL but everyone seems to agree that there a little overpriced and overated. I mean approx. 1dollar/watt is a little steep. Anyhow now I'm thinking kicker. I also want to get a matching 4-channel for my car speakers but all the kicker 4-channels seem to be @2ohms unless briged. What do the 'pros' suggest? I love the infinity 4-channel but i'll just run that in my jeep and trying to keep the amps the same in the car. If you guys have another brand in mind that would work best for my setup mono and 4-channel let me know. Thanks.

sorry I for got to mention there dual 4ohms. So I plan on running the 2 at 1ohm.

It's the speakers, not the amp that decides what the impedance will be. If you hook up some 4 ohm speakers to a kicker 4 channel amp then it will be working at 4 ohms. The output will change so you'll need to find some numbers at 4 ohms to find out which one will work in your situation.

i dont have personal experience with them, but ive heard powerbase makes good multichannel amps.

as for the subs, look for someting around 1200 watts.

I was looking at the kicker kx1200.1 b for the subs and the kicker kx350.4 for the speakers but kicker rates the 4-channel at 170x4@2ohms and 325x2@4ohms. The mono seems pretty decent as it's rated 1200@1ohm.

No offense taken. I'm sure someone will argue or confirm what I said.

Were you looking at the peak numbers for the 350.4 or the RMS numbers for the 650.4? You haven't mentioned anything about your other speakers, but if they are still stock then the 350.4 would be fine. If you already have aftermarket speakers that handle more power or are thinking about upgrading later, you might want to look at something with more power like the 650.4.

even on a good moderate system, the KX12001 and KX3504/KX6504 will be fine.

Sorry those numbers I mentioned were infact for the kicker kx650.4. My speakers are infinity 6010cs upfront and infinity 6812cf. Well I guess from what i'm gotten i'll be on the look out for a kicker 1200.1 and 650.4. Thanks a lot guys.
