Suggestions on Speakers

I have a 02 Sierra and I want to upgrade the entire audio system, but I'm starting with the speakers since only my back speakers currently work and it's making me crazy!

As of now, I don't plan on adding an amp and woofer, but I'd like to get some good bass out of the speakers. Can you guys suggest quality speakers (for the front) in the $250-350 range? The front fits 6 3/4 and the back are 4X6.

I also read adding sound deadener helps with bass...any suggestions on brands, etc for that?

Pioneer TS-D series coax or comps for the front, unplug/remove the rears since 4x6's (and rear fill, arguably) are just short of worthless, and check out SecondSkin Damplifier or Damplifer Pro, Dynamat Xtreme (not the standard Dynamat crap), or RAAMmat BXT.
