im thinking about running this setup in my car...can anyone tell me how powerful an alternator i need to use, if i need batteries in trunk with isolator, big 3?? please help...

Amps:

Precision Power PCX 4125 (speaker amp) http://www.precisionpower.com/amps/pcx4125.asp

Precision Power PCX 2400 (subwoofer amp) http://www.precisionpower.com/amps/pcx2400.asp

Speakers:

Infinity Kappa Perfect Series 6.1 (front and rear) http://www.infinitysystems.com/caraudio/product.aspx?ProdId='KAPPA+PERFECT6.1'&Ser=KPE&Cat=COS

Subs:

2 Audiobahn 12" flame Q's AW1206T http://www.audiobahn.com/Audiobahn06/pages/woofers.html

well ppl may state thier opinion, and thats fine, but the thing is ive heard audiobahn subs in all sorts of vehicles and happen to like the sound that they deliver. so i'll stick with the audiobahns.

cause my buddy is getting bigger subs and im buying the audiobahns off him for really cheap....so im getting them cause i like how they sound and theyre a good deal...cant go wrong

well as long as you like them i guess that's all that matters...

theres much better out there, and with that power you can have a killer setup.

but anyways

just do big 3, and get a yellow top or deep cycle battery of the sort

i have a yellow top + big 3 and i run ~ 1700 watts daily with very minimal dimming

oh btw the car is a 1998 honda civic LX and these come with a factory 75A alternator.

so how is it possible to just swap in a yellow top and expect the alt. to keep up?

eventually from all that draw, the battery will discharge.

i dont believe that just the yellow top will be enough.

well if you Alternator can't charge 1 battery, how's it gonna charge another in the trunk?

and if you don't think that's enough, then try it out, if you need more, then get an alternator...don't waste your money on capacitors or all that pretty stuff.

get at least a 180 Amp.
