Suggestions on Ipod location USB connection Alpine

I will be getting a Apline iDA-X100 Which has a USB type connection for the Ipod.

I am assuming the radio will have full control of the ipod, so I won't need to see it?

I would rather have it hidden anyway.

Where are people mounting or placing the Ipod? In the glove box?

I place my iPod in the glove box. Works fine!

Mine is non existant, no iPod. You are correct though, you don't need to see it.

What car do you have? i have an armrest console and i have my ipod right under it. i installed the ipod controller right behind the gearbox and ran the wire to the console.

My factory was a 1-1/2" din option.

I bought a 1 din radio and the mounting kit has a pocket in it.

Maybe I can cut a hole and leave the ipod in the pocket?

I would just hate for someone to see and steal it.
