Yo, need some help on choosing a headunit and some comps for my truck

I was looking at the Alpine 9887 but people said if I want to use the imprint it would be an extra 250 dollars...

My budget is 300-350 or less for a headunit

Also for the comps around the same price or less.

This is going with a 12'' Fi BL sub

1500 watt amp for the sub and a 100.4 sundown amp for the comps

Let me know if you need to know anything else. Thanks

Yeah, see that's what I don't get... So your saying I could ditch the 100.4 and just run the HU and the comps through the headunit?

Edit: yeah I deff need some on the doors because I just bought the truck and he had a sony HU and some cheap comps and it was rattling the doors so I think I could just do the doors and be good.

NO!!! You misunderstood me. I would never suggest anyone run speakers off the HU. HU power sucks donkey balls. With a 4 channel you have a choice is what I'm saying. You could use it to power front and rear speakers, bridge to just the front, or just use it to run your front speakers active.

Active means a seperate channel of power for each driver ( High and low, L/R wihout a passive crossover), with an active crossover infront of the amplifier (in your case built into the HU) to block the unwanted freq's from the amp. This gives you the most efficiency and possible SQ and SPL from the drivers.

Active front speakers with your sub rig would rock.

Ohh, hahaha well I don't know much and this is going to be my first system, also would I need to get a bigger alternator or could I slide by with upgrading the front battery and getting a second to go to the amp?

Yes, or you could just skip the rears all together. They really aren't needed, your fronts are what's most important. Personally I would try to get 6 1/2"'s to fit up front. Usually you can make them fit with a spacer ring or someother minor modification.

The larger driver will give you alot more bang for your buck.

Maybe throw a cheap set of coaxials in the back for passengers in the rear, but your fronts are all you should hear.
