suggestions on best cheap 1600watt class d amp

yes its the 4 ohm DVC 12" alpine type-r was gunna wire it up at 2 ohms and even if it was at 1100 watts rms do u think i should turn the amp down more so its closer to about 800 watts? or would it be fine at 1100 watts....

1100 is a little much for a Type R. If you have the cash to get a bigger amp, by all means go for it. Just watch your gain because Type Rs will only take about 800 watts before you are risking burning it up. If you wanted to get an amp for 2 later on, I would say the Hifonics 1606, especially on a budget. And MTX, sorry, but Crunch should never be listed with IA, RF, AB, or any other good amp makers. Crunch is pretty low quality stuff.

well ive got about 300 or 400 to spend on the amp a box(im gunna make one eventually when i have the time im to busy right now) and the wiring kit*(dont know what brand to get for that either)* any suggestions?

I've got alot of good amps from Craigslist. Never been used Concept 2400a for $100. Earthquake 2000 for $140. etc.

They were just examples of the deals I've got from Craigslist saying it would be a good place to check. The Concept is to much for the Diamond audio D9 15" I have it on now so might not be right for your application.

And yes I think Concepts and Earthquakes are good amps. But neither one is really a budget amp when bought new.

when buying stuff on ebay,rule of thumb is,buy new still in the box,look at sellers feedback,the more positive feedback,the better,if seller has bad feedback,steer away from it.i bought my 08zx1000.1 off ebay brand new,and it does rock the house lol,it was factory sealed.and stay away from refurb amps imo.allso beings how alot of people are buying off of ebay,there are a few stereo stores that are putting there stuff on there as well like hifisoundconnection.i wouldnt buy from them though,cause their prices are jacked and most of their stuff is refurb.
