make yourself a 2 cubic foot box with a 2.5 in port width by 12 inches long and high.should be pretty loud .i di one with a kicker kx 1200 and was doing 142 out of the trunk.i would look for a sundown 2000 or maybe a dc 2k

sundown they are underrated but kinda expensive. They are built like tanks also

why kicker or alpine ,there are better amps out there.

not that I nut hug alpine or anything, but there is buzz going around saying that the new PDX series is supposed to be incredible for sound quality. Like, better than mcintosh, audison, image, etc. something about ridiculously low distortion and a number of other things. I don't know much about what makes a SQ amp great and i mainly run amps that lay down a lot of power but you guys should check it out and verify it. Just look for their newest line of PDX amps and see what the deal is.

ok i love my kicker amp i have a 08zx1500.1 never a glitch never over heated and is buried in the hatch and it 100 degrees in ohio right now i love it. excellent power affordable price ive just seen to many sundown amps for sale on here over the past months just makes me wonder why are people selling them if there such good amps ,take a look in the amp classifieds how many sundown amps are for sale i think at least 2 daily come up for sale on here and why is that ??? and kicker amps are rated max power at 2 ohm which keeps them from getting hot

i HIGHLY doubt that their for sale because of quality.... most likely, you see so many for sale, because the majority of guys who run sundown amps, use them to compete with, and/or are constantly changing their set ups.... and kicker amps only being stable to 2 ohms, and being ran at 2 ohms wont keep them cool bro... not saying they dont stay cool, but that DEFINATELY is not the reason... maybe you should do some research and learn a lil more before calling the build quality of a product you have no experience with into question... cuz they really are built like tanks

ok first off not saying sundown amps are not built good im saying just makes a person wonder why people are selling them everyday on here i have a pair a sa-12's and i love them so your saying driving a amp at 1 or ,5 ohm load doesnt require more voltage or amperage ?

If an amp is stable down into 1ohm or .5 ohm I'd be more assured of it's quality and abilities.

And Sundowns amps are often up for sale because people are constantly upgrading, and know there's a great market for them.
