I've been looking to upgrade the front stage in my grand prix from the current ID ctx6.5 coaxials. I can go either 2 way active or a passive component set. I'd power the comps from a mtx thunder 2300x (old school) amp, 200 watts x 2 channels. Or if I go active, the mtx will power the mids, and a mb quart 100.2 will power the tweets. I like my music loud and absolutely hate harsh highs. so far i have looked at massive audio ck6x, hat imagines, JBL MS-62C, dayton rs180 woofers, silver flute woofers. I listen to a lot of rock/metal and want to make sure there is enough midbass/midrange authority. budget is hopefully

I love my Milles.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

haven't seen the beyma's before. they look nice. I think I'm kinda leaning towards going active though. Should I still buy a comp set and just run them active, or would it be better to buy individual woofers and tweets?

RE Audio XXX6.5C (XXX65C) 6.5" 2-Way XXX Component Car Speakers

wont find a bad review great speakers and only one left lol
they look pretty. I just haven't been a fan of the newer re audio stuff

ugh double post again.

I really don't like buying used. but my friend is looking for something just like that hertz set^ so I'll forward it to him.

I am really leaning towards buying the woofers separate and going active. That way I can save some money since I don't need the crossovers. So what I need is a midwoofer like a dayton rs180 or silver flute, but one that can handle 200watts a piece. and a matching tweeter. Since the midwoofer will be mounted off axis I'd like to get large format tweeters and cross them around 2000hz
