I love metal music and alu seems more detailed. Harsh at first but gets better after a while. Try both if you are not sure.. 40$ is not the end of the world.is that basically the same as this one but in an aluminum dome instead of textile? would there be much of a sound difference between the two?
yeah, but I have kind of found out over the last couple years that I absolutely hate any kind of harsh sounding highs/vocals. Although I also like metal music, so I'll have to think about it a bit moreI love metal music and alu seems more detailed. Harsh at first but gets better after a while. Would you classify these tweets as laid back? What type of music do you mostly listen to?I run these and LOVE them. Vifa NE25VTS-04 1" Silk Dome Tweeter 264-1034
Very much so. I listen to a lot of rock, house music, rap, and country. They can get very loud and take a lot of power while not sounding harsh.Would you classify these tweets as laid back? What type of music do you mostly listen to?
sounds like exactly what I'm looking for. where did you have them mounted?Very much so. I listen to a lot of rock, house music, rap, and country. They can get very loud and take a lot of power while not sounding harsh.
They are currently high and to the front in my doors. I'm probably going to put them in my a pillars to raise the stage a bit. Overall I really am pleased with them.sounds like exactly what I'm looking for. where did you have them mounted?
For a 6 inch woofer, sound dispersion starts becoming directional at about 2KHz, and you can experience a dip as big as -10dB past 2.5KHz. However, you can certainly use equalizer to adjust the woofer's frequency response in the upper mid-range, as long as it can actually play accurately in upper frequencies. Another solution is to let the tweeter play down to like 2.5KHz, then it won't matter if the woofer is on axis or off axis. However, a tweeter may sound harsh the lower you crossover it if you like to play loud music. The seas tweeter resonance frequency is at ~1.1KHz, so I think 2.5KHz HP with a sharp slope should be doable. If you have a good equalizer to bring up woofer's upper midrange or if you install woofers more on axis, I think it would be preferable to HP the tweeter at like 4KHz for smoother sound. So I know it's been a while, but I've been busy. Plan on installing the silver flutes soon. Is it worth it to make an angled baffle so the woofer is more on axis? or should I just mount them on a flat baffle to the door?
