SUggestions for new setup needed!

I've got about $500 to spend and would like to have something that does everything normal like hit low and hard and get pretty loud.

I'm looking at getting 2 10's or 1-2 12's. Preferably 1 12". I can build my own box so that isn't a problem. $500 is the budget for amp and the sub. Open to all suggestions and the cheaper the better but I want quality. For example, I'd buy an AQ amp before I bought a DD amp because budget is still tight..
