Suggestions for 05 Silverado Reg. Cab Setup?

I'm new to the forums and had a couple of questions. I currently have 1 10'' L7 in a ported pro box behind the seat and a MTX 1501D. It pounds for 1 10 but i lost too much leg room and im looking to go with a custom box. My question to you is should i just keep the L7 or should i get a new sub or sub(s). I don't want to buy a new amp. Can i fit a MTX 9500 10'' in a ported box behind the seats and will it be as loud as my L7? If not, what would you reccomend that would be compatible with my 1501D and will fit behind my seat in a custom box without sacrificing leg room. Thanks

exactly how much room do you have behind your seats....i seriously doubt a 9500 will fit without having to give up alot more room than you already lost from the L7

you definetly won't be able to fit a 9500...they have quite the mounting depth.

try doing maybe a dual l7 10 setup...you can fit it. You shouldn't be loosing that much legroom either. A friend of mine that I helped install has an OBS SCSB (old body style, single cab short bed) with 2 10" l7s...they fit fine...although the box was sealed and we made it per spec of cab. Ok, so it sounds like the 9500 is a no-no unless i do a cut-through into the bed. What would you suggest then that my MTX 1501d can power. You think two L7's is gonna be sufficient?

well..i've heard treo ssi (i don't know if that is it) can fit in small sealed enclosures and do wonders...i would look into treo

you could do a wall of like 8 RE 8's...something to that effect. maybe to be different

hmmmmm...your l7's should do the trick...you could do 3-4 10's in a small sealed enclosure..might need to either mod or get a new one of those 1501d's
