i want closer to 500 but im open for serious offers and im in the market for a nice 10 and or some killer comps.

ive heard good things about the pioneers, im open to spending up to 350 if it will make that much of a difference, but for the money pioneers are nice? oh and the 12 is gone.

What most people don't know about Pioneer is that although they have been known in the past in the consumer car audio market only for budget speakers, Pioneer is one of the few car Audio brands who actually has their own factory; the vast majority of car audio brands are marketing companies who simply hire contractors/ other factories to build speakers for them. Pioneer has been making OEM speakers for other companies for more than a decade.

With the new PRS series, they finally have come out with a top of the line component system which is one of best bang for the buck speakers out there right now... again, they can do it because they essentially come direct from the factory to you. The midbass speaker on that set is outrageous for the price the comps are going for. I always knew they were capable of it, always wondered why they did not have something like that years ago. I say it's about time.

The new Image Dynamics XS series on paper have more power handling than the speakers I listed and might have more xmax/midbass potential depending on the instal... I don't know if they would fall within your budget though, you would have to negotiate with a dealer and see what price you could get them for, but I would suspect they could be sold for less than Suggested list. But that's a lot of maybes. And it will only benefit you if you really need that extra power handling.

nice, i was looking on that site before but didnt know what was really good or not, i know alot of that stuff is name brand shit w/o the marketing, but any chance you could reccomend a crossover or a decent budget eq for that setup?
