Suggest a DESKTOP PC! ***

My HP desktop took a dump now it's time to find a new one.

I'm keeping the screen so all i need is a TOWER.

Budget is around 800$ Max for a tower.

This is going to be a family PC that will be used mostly for internet and small programs.

Budget less than 1000$ just for the tower.

I know they are alot of different options and details to add but I'm not exactly a PC nut so any suggestions are appreciated!

p.s. How are the ASUS pc's that Best buy sells?

Build your own. It will be the equivalent of spending 2 grand or more with your budget. Its easy as hell to do and you can upgrade all you want in the future. Most pre mades have locked out bios and garbage components.

Only good comp is a self built one.. Saves u money but you get better parts so its all win.. Plus u learn alil and even if u have never built one its really very very easy.

Building your own is very very easy, we could all help with recommendations on components. Building your own you spend about half as much as you would to buy one off the floor, and you get better components. If that's entirely out of question, I'm sure a $600 one would more than suffice for your needs. And yes, ASUS makes quality stuff.

go to newegg... they have great deals.

Bestbuy sells old POS machinery with a fancy coat of paint, so to say.

building it your best bet, or check out new egg.

laptops, i love ASUS, Lenovo, and FEW acer.

asus has a lot of nice setups, lenovo is solid.
