Sudden drop in volume?

I was driving home last night and my subs suddenly dropped in volume almost like my amp started providing them with less power

i had been driving around alot yesterday and everything was running perfect

What would cause my subs to suddenly drop as they did?

(2) 12" Apline Type R's

(1) Alpine Mrp-M1000 V-Power

(1) Apline Mrp-F600 V-Power

(Fronts) Rainbow Audio SL components 5.25's and 1" Silk Tweeters

(Rears) Rainbow Audio Sl 6x9's Coaxial

Check each speaker for shorts. A pinched wire grounding out or a individual blown speaker can sometimes make the internal amp go into protection.
