hey, im looking at the ALPINE TYPE R 12inch i dont care about if it is an spl beast or not, i just want something that can produce very tight and accurate bass in a sealed enclosure.. i listen to lots of metal and with the double bass i need something thats accurate and more SQL or SQ based..

any suggestions?

What is your budget?

1500W max 500 rms 4ohm 800rms 2ohm.... im thinking of either the 1242D alpine R..... or an RE audio SE 12

well... online ive seen the type R at $170 shipped... and the RE SE at around 190 shipped

so around that...
