Subwoofer Squaling/High Pitch Sound

I will be sure to try that tomorrow after work and I will report back! I did hook up the multimeter to the speaker outputs earlier today and it fluctated between about 2.15-2.4 V, but I can't remember if it was AC or DC... I greatly appreciate the help. And that ***** man! Another reason why I have a hard time trusting people on eBay....
I hope you get it figured out ..if it is the amp hopefully it’s at least still under warranty

I missed that part ..you may be right on that then ..he will need a dmm to test and see if the amp is producing dc voltage if so a bad power supply in the amp ..sometimes a winding can wear and touch inside the torrid choke and you’ll never see it visually
As soon as I saw the first pair was blown and the 2nd pair pushes out I thought dc current immediately. Hopefully its that little fuse like you said.

My only question is you unplugged your amp for a few days then plugged it back in. Why? What did you need to do that required to remove the amp? Just guessing since you didn't say other than unplugged it.

Perhaps a bad ground would be my guess.

I skim over things ..I can’t really stay focused on long drawn out stuff due to bad add ..but your right ..I’m pretty sure that will be the problem..the pico fuse just causes bad Audio wining..and only deck I know of are Pioneers and I was thinking older Pioneer decks because I haven’t seen the issue in a while ..when he said the model of his deck ..It sorta made me wonder

Here's the update- with key in accessory position, multimeter reads .63 V DC and 0.00 V AC on speaker terminals. With engine started, multimeter reads .52 V DC and 0.00 V AC on speaker terminals. I think we have our answer- my amp is putting out DC current, just like you guys were thinking. Looks like I'm contacting Alpine, fingers crossed that they will replace/fix mine.

If its still under warranty and you have broken the back seal/opened that amp up, they will not warranty the amp.If you Hot Swapped RCAs when power was on to the HU, you can still expect that that Pico Fuse is blown. Only way to know is when you hook it back up and hear static winning and as though no ground seems to be working properly to get rid of the noise.Or open up the HU and look. You could possibly get LUCKY
