Subwoofer screws

This will sound extremely trivial to most people. But for subwoofers, what do you use to mount them?

I had a shop a year or two ago use shitty screws and one of my subs ripped out of the box when I hit a dip in the road. It had a "booger" in the voicecoil from then on.

So I want to avoid that with this install.

My box has 11.25" cutout diam and my subs' cutout diam is 11.125" per, so the screws might have to be angled a bit and I don't want any issues.

Do you use wood screws? What size?

Thanks,

Trevor

concrete screws? unless you're mounting your sub to a concrete box, i wouldn't advise using them...

coarse drywall screws ftw...

and the length depends on the baffle of your enclosure...

x2. i have never had a screw ripped off or break or a sub fall out.

or you can use t-bolts or w/e it is called if you take your sub out a lot.

coarse dry wall screws, as long as its 1" long your fine. never had a problem yet. but i have seen subs practically about to fall out of a wall that had dry wall screws holding it in, then again it was 4 18" TC5200's on 3kw a piece, so i think it was the weight, power, and shear force from the subs lol. when the subs were pulled, each sub had 3 or 4 screws holding them in, the rest snapped.
