Subwoofer quit working after i bridged the amp

So I'm not an expert by any means when it comes to audio installation but I can get it up and working. So the other day one of my buddy's wanted to see the setup in my truck so after he took a look at my humble system he proceded to tell me that if I bridge the amp I would get a little more bass and as you can imagine that made me very happy, so that's exactly what I did. About a week goes by and to my surprise there is no bass. So I go through all my connections and make sure nothing came loose and it seems everything is they way it is supposed to be. My amp still turns on with the green power light and there is no protection light on so I hope the problem is not my amp but I've never been lucky so I figured I'd get some input before I go and buy another amp just to have two that work. I don't know the exact models #'s but I can get them I have a single JL audio 300 watt 10 inch subwoofer with a 2 channel JL audio 360 watt amp. Thank you in advance for your help, I really appreciate it.

I'll let you know when I can get to the model number tomorrow but I'm gonna say it's 4. There was a wire that was detached when I took the sub out the box but I replaced that and just ran the wires from the amp straight to the sub instead of connecting to the box
