Subwoofer pounding when gain level is turned to lowest

Any help is welcome.

I am tripping out on this. I was running 2 12" Underhung subwoofers that can handle 800 RMS watts each with my Phoenix Gold Xenon X1200.1. I recently decided to downgrade my amp and run 1 subwoofer. I put one of my underhungs subwoofer in a 1 CU FT sealed enclosure, and it is being powered with a Hifonics Atlantis X which says it does 600 bridge which I highly doubt.

The thing is that when i had my PG X1200.1, I had the gain set to about almost 3/4 up. Now with the Hifonics Atlantis X bridged I turned it on trying to set my gain it was pounding when the gain was turned to the min.

I have a Eclipse CD8445 HU which has 8V Preouts. I can't figure out why my Sub is pounding so loud when the gain level is way low and my HU is at 3/4 on the volume (at 62 when it can go to 80). And the sub control on HU is at max at 6.

Any help would be appreciated.

Well, lol if your HU puts out that much voltage, even at minimum on the amp it's still enough signal for it to fully play.

Easy solution: turn the Sub control on the HU lower.

this is what i was getting at with my post. input voltage is too high maybe.

ur reading it wrong
and that hifonics is a great amp
I am not reading it wrong checkout the ampguts link i posted, it says at 4ohms it does 600 bridged.

I was not saying Hifonics are S*** either, however my PG X1200.1 was way better, and i was trying to make this point.
