subwoofer noise

so i recently purchased as pair of hifonics brutus 12's, ive been running them for about a month or so and now one of them is making a buzzing noise?? kinda like its blown?? but if i unscrew it from the box with it still hooked up it doesnt???? anyone have any ideas????
