Subwoofer magnets are getting ridiculous

Am I missing something? Isn't there a more efficient/powerful permanent magnet material, that is relatively affordable, out there? Why do these things keep getting bigger and bigger and bigger? Clearly consumer cost is no concern considering the cost of some of these current "massive mag" subs, so what's the problem?

yeaa... its been turning into a marketing scheme ever since i dont know when... im sure there are more powerful mags with the strength of a quadruple stack, but who wants a single stack mag on a sub?

it's like big tits. Everybody wants them! *** sells.

I hear that..., but a lot of enthusiasts, with money, don't necessarily have the space (or interest) to sacrifice for tits that size. They'd like to get the pootie and still have some room for luggage.

AA made great subs with modest magnets. . They use lots of steel to focus it though. Audiomobile made some very solid subs. They used lots of steel and a ungerhung design. Also Neo magnet rock hard their just pricey. Lightning Audios top sub can be made with a neo slug. Sometimes its not how big, but how its used:naughty: Also thats a Earthquake sub in the pic I think
