Subwoofer help!!!

Hi guys im getting a VERY cheap sub system and im sticking to it i only make so much money at 16..

well im getting, MTX Audio Terminator Series TNE212D 1,200-Watt Dual 12-Inch Sub Enclosure:Amazon:Car Electronics

It it 200 watts rms MAX for both subs so i need a 400 watt amp at 2 ohm and i am finding hel* of a time finding a quality amp thats 400 rms at 2 ohm there is a pioneer model im looking at but hardly anywhere to buy so this brings me to my question.. its 400 watt rms MAX can i run 500 watts and not blow them or get them hot? ?? Will they be fine for years if i run at 500? Please help thanks!

You could run those on an even higher watt amp IF you set your gain correctly with a DMM... Oh, and BTW... You are WAY over-paying for that... Hey buddy one more question found a 500 watt amp for it do i get a class ab or a d amp for those subs above? ??

Class d, audiopipe apsm 1300 would do well with that and they fit in a 16 year old budget, not the best but for what you pay, can't really beat it. Should be able to do 300 or so at 2ohms.

Dude just buy a b stock sundown e series 12 or 15 from emfcaraudio.com (formally sundownonly.com) for $110 and get an audiopipe apsm 1200 off eBay for $ $95. Under $200 for sub and amp and it will actually make a lil noise . Instead of spending $30 less and having a waste of space in your trunk. As for a box just buy one of the crappy $30 boxes off eBay (sealed) and b done with it.

After looking at what u wanna buy get 2 sundown e12's d4 subs $220 brand new with warranty and put them on a apsm1200 at 1 ohm $95 shipped . Then either build a 4 ft/3 sealed box outta mdf or if your not a "hands on" type of guy buy a cheap sealed box from a pawn shop or at one of those "jicky" eletronics flea markets.

You will have some respectable sub stage then. I have never had good luck with preloaded sub "deals" and for what they are asking for those mtx's you can do better.

Hell the setup i was running last was 2 e15's on an audiopipe apsm2000 running at 2 ohm and as long as I didn't get greedy with the gains it sounded great and was damm near uncomfortable in the output department.

I will suggest two c2 threatcon for $129 each free shipped and apsm 1500 $121 from 3 kings get a decent prefab or build your won box

under $400 and this will be louder than the sundown E series

Also a great suggestion the c2's have stitched surrounds and a bit more magnet $25 more but worth it for the stitching. I have never owned a pair but have heard good things. The big thing here is for the money the audiopipe apsm series amps are a helluva value and as of yet I have had 0 issues with my apsm2000.

Benched it at 14.4 volts @ 2 ohms it put 1290 watts out unclipped, at 1 ohm it did 1890 unclipped. Not quite rated but freakin awsome for under $170.00 shipped. Sure the low pass filter isn't the greatest, and the bass knob is a bit on the sensitive side but I have ran it for 6 hours straight at 1 ohm on my SA 15's with no thermal issues in 105 degree west texas summer heat to boot.
