Subwoofer help please!!!

Ok so im trying to put together a simple set up...200 watt MTX 2 channel amp, 12" Jensen subwoofer. nothing too tough. I bought them used, but I tested them on a friend of mine's car to make sure they work, and they do. So i do all the wiring (its correct, not my first install) on my car. i get power to the amp, but have got NOTHING from the subs. I have a 1997 rav4 4 door. The amp/subs are wired to a brand new Sony Xplod deck. any suggestions?? thanks

try different rca out put on deck try different deck maybe there's a hidden setting for the rca outputs that turns it on.

if the amp turns on and there's nothing doing out to subs. did you check the speaker out puts with a DMM.

it could be something simple in the box at the terminals came off or something unpluged

if amp is turning on right then power ground and remote can be put to back burner, rca would be my first suspect, deck rca out put or setting on deck. and i would check connections. may not be your first insatl but even a season vet over looks the small stuff.

Check to make sure the RCA's go to the "inputs" on the amp, not the "outputs".

Check all the settings on the HU for a sub turn on. Make sure all connections in the sub box are OK. Connections at the amp. Check rcas with volt meter to assure signal is being sent through. List of things I would try

id really check wire connections, if they come loose it can be easily over looked. simple as if they arent touching quite enough.

after screwin around with stuff some more, still nothin from subs. however, i tested another amp on it and it works great! thanks for the help ppl
