You can hear the harmonics.. I always play low frequency lossless files out of my Dynaudio BM12A's at home.

Also, I'm old school and was a big DJ Magic Mike fan back in the day. I was a fan of the old MTX Bass CD's and such. There was a CD by Bass Patrol and the album was titled King Of Bass. What's there to debate? Can subwoofers play subsonics? Yes. Can you hear subsonics? No.
HT subs routinely play below 20hz.

This. War of the Worlds pods emerging scene is 12Hz and The Haunting wall coming alive scene is 14Hz. I demo those in the HT all the time. You do not hear the bass, you feel the air and the house falling apart, seriously.
