I wish they put surrounds like the ti on more subs. They are soo sexy and I vote originals.

Yeah, i had a pair of OS hcca's like that and I hit 154.9. but im not going for spl this time

darn... thats like 50/50 with imjnuto as the tie breaker... make up your mind based on some technical sht!

Also to keep in mind that I will be running two zap 1100.1's

Newer parts, more cone area...high roll just looks better IMO.
The original Ti's are at least 5 years old, and who knows what they've been through.

I tested those orignal ones in that photo they ******* pounded the **** out of my Garage. I still have the enclosure sitting on the floor. I was running a 1800rms at to them at 1ohm and they were hardly moving but **** it was loud. Pissed off my neighbor if that means anything.

why u no make choice easy!?!

Ran the originals years ago and I wish I never sold them. Those subs were my favorite subs to date. Got down and sounded just so **** clean. People that didn't even know anything about subwoofers told me all the time how good they sounded. (Not to mention they flexed the **** out of my car,

)

all depends who rebuilt them and if they rebuilt with sh!tty tc spiders or not?
It has a single stiff 10" spider

Also here's the info that wingman gave me on the build:

"These subs were Eclipse SW9122s and it still has the Eclipse magnet boot. They have TC Sounds' 3HP motors(triple stacked magnet) with quick change assembly so the basket comes off by twisting it. It has a hex key screw on the basket so it stays in place. It has a single stiff 10" spider(for efficiency), 3 inch dual 2 ohm coils(not sure how many layers), tall rubber surround, dark blue honeycomb cone(honeycomb structure sandwiched in between, the cone is about 1/16" thick) and 180mm black concave dustcap(forgot what material the dustcap was). All the parts are from TC Sounds with the exception of the dustcap. The two baskets are slightly different in detail and one is ~1 mm bigger than the other in diameter, SPLAudio told me it's just from two different Eclipse production runs. The magnets are identical.

The coil can handle 1000~1500 watts(perhaps more), suspension-wise it will depend on what kind of box you're gonna put them in since I chose to have just 1 spider for efficiency. 1300 watts is about max for the suspension in my box but my box is tuned higher, like 38~40Hz, either way if you're gonna go for a ported box just make sure you set the subsonic filter to whatever your cutoff frequency is. It has 3 inches of excursion capability and retains the "bottomless" design, meaning the coil will never bottom out. These seems to like medium-sized ported box tuned low, something like 33Hz or so. I have never tried a sealed box but I don't see why not"

Also, I plan on hitting each of these with about 800rms @ 4 ohms. I hope that will do the trick
