You should be able to hear it. Sounds like the sub is about to explode. You must play your stuff loud not to notice. If it sounds fine (normal) than you should be fine.

Thanks for the input...as you can tell i new to car audio...I just got two 10's put in my car and I see what people talk about on these message boards but I don't always know what to listen for in my own car...
