subsonic filter

I dont know if this is in the right section but whatever....Im thinking about porting my 12w6v2. Being that the sub isnt cheep i dont want to hurt it with the low freq as this is what ive herd what happens if u port a sub. What freq should i tune my box to and what subsonic filter should i get, i dont know much about them.

Well, I would tune it anywhere in the mid 30 Hz range...and did you check if your amp has a sub filter? If not, pick one up, they can be found pretty cheap, and set it to around 30 hz.

alright so ur tellin me that i should set my filter just below my tunning freq? I was thinking of tunning it to 32 so therefore i should set the filter to 30. Any recomendation for a filter??

Yes, that should be good...what amp do you have? I'll find some sites for sub filters for ya...

those say 20 hz, so thats their setting im assuming, and u cant change that? plus i have a problem cuz im using high level imputs goin to my amp.

Check out that site then...they have plenty of crossovers/filters etc...
